Senior High School Youth Group
Once a month this small but talkative group enjoys lunch and Bible study after the Sunday morning worship service. The youth chose the topics for study. This year’s studies include the book of Revelation, “The DaVinci Code”, and “Thinking Theologically about Body Image”. Warm weather months include Mini-golf and visits to local restaurants.
Middle School Activities
Catechism Classes
A comprehensive three year program that includes study, service, and recreation runs from September through May each year. Four days of Catechism Camp each summer builds relationships and faith. Contact Pastor Kratzer (330-454-3978) if it’s time to keep the promises made at baptism to provide for instruction in the Christian faith. This program must be completed before youth may participate in the Service of Confirmation.
Sunday School
Donuts and hot or cold drinks are available at 8:45 a.m. in the large fellowship room on the lower level. Most classes for youth begin at 8:55 a.m. The Senior High students meet in the Youth Room, next door to the Choir Room. They use The Wired Word to discuss issues that are in the media that week. Middle School students gather in a spacious corner room that is also used for Catechism instruction. During the Sunday School hour, the Firelight series is used to connect Bible stories to life today. Grade school children have two lower level classrooms – one for grades 1-3, the other for grades 4-6. Pre-school and Kindergarten children meet in the upstairs nursery room at 8:45 a.m.
2008 Vacation Bible School Meet Jesus, our Forever Friend, at Friendship Trek on June 23-27 from 9 a.m. to Noon. Kids ages 4 years through 6th grade (completed) will meet friends, explore Bible stories, do fun activities, sing great songs, make crafts, play games, and eat snacks.
